📢 HID Origo Bridge Client Update Available (v2.5.7.1386)

Dear HID® Origo™ Bridge Customer,

  • 🚀 We have released an updated version of the HID Origo Bridge Client (v2.5.7.1386).

📍 What Changed?

  • This update addresses an issue related to a change introduced in a third-party cloud authentication service used by Bridge. The change impacts the authentication process used when Bridge connects to HID Origo cloud services.

📍 Impact

  • Currently running Bridge services are not affected.
  • However, any Bridge instance running a version earlier than v2.5.7.1386 may experience authentication failures after a service restart.
  • Affected instances may be unable to successfully reconnect to HID Origo cloud services.

📍 Recommended Action

  • To avoid potential service disruption, we strongly recommend updating all Bridge installations to version v2.5.7.1386 as soon as possible.

HID® Signo™ readers not recognizing Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) credentials, scheduled 1 year ago

SUMMARY

  • This update provides information in response to your report of HID® Signo™ readers not recognizing Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) credentials.
  • HID is aware of the issue and is currently working on a solution. We have identified a logic fault that may cause the reader to become unresponsive.
  • This issue has been identified as specific to certain readers with firmware versions 10.0.7.5, 10.0.8.5, and 10.0.9.1, when used with the HID Mobile Access app (iOS v4.8.0).

IMPACT

  • Note - this issue does not affect the use of physical credentials with the reader, and physical credentials can continue to be used even when the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) credential fails to be recognized by the reader.
  • If the reader becomes unresponsive to BLE credentials, power cycling the reader and upgrading the HID Mobile Access app (iOS v4.8.1) will restore prior performance. Currently, no additional update or action is required for the HID Signo reader.
  • Please contact your local HID Technical Support if you have any additional questions regarding this report. We appreciate your business and thank you for your patience as we resolve this matter. For additional support in the interim, do not hesitate to contact HID Technical Support or your local HID representative.
